The Kemajl Azizi ensemble was founded in 2003 in Viti, a small town at the foot of the Skopska Crna Gora mountain range in south-east Kosovo. The ensemble is renowned for the beauty of its traditional songs, such as Kreshtat e Kosoves, which celebrates Kosovo, its people, its land, its mountains and its rivers. The songs and music also include the sounds of birds and sheep, inspired by Kosovo's long pastoral tradition. As for the choreography, the Kemajl Azizi ensemble performs the eagle dance, symbolising freedom, and a dance from the Viti region called Karadak.
